We’re seeking a seasoned Marketing Specialist, skilled in Product and Digital Marketing, to advance our brand and business lines. The ideal candidate has experience with customer centric marketing and product marketing initiatives, combined with digital channel execution and analytics experience. A self-starter, experimenter, and learner will thrive in our environment that offers high levels of autonomy, paired with accountability. This role comprises strategy and execution, with responsibilities spanning research, campaign development, channel leadership including email, organic and paid search, and marketing analytics. Additional responsibilities are possible as we identify opportunities for Marketing to deliver meaningful and observable impact.

As a Marketing Specialist, you play a key role in shaping the go to market, and demand generation for our learning & development training, software, and community/membership oriented offerings. We value and enable collaboration, and this role will work closely with others in Marketing, as well internal teams including Digital Learning, Sales and Business Development, various Product Teams and external agencies and technology partners.

This is a fully remote position. Applicants must reside in Texas, Michigan, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Colorado, or Texas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Marketing

  • Strategy – Build and develop strategic marketing programs, plans and campaigns to market specific products, ultimately elevating and positioning our brands and driving demand
  • Research – Lead customer research and analytics to continually harness a deep understanding of the intersection of our markets, customers and products
  • Competitor Intelligence – Ad hoq competitive intelligence work to inform product pricing, product development, corporate strategies, and marketing tactics
  • Lead Generation – Play a central role in re-imagining our lead collection and management to ensure a consistent volume of qualified leads for business development

Channel Management

  • Organic Search – Develop and collaborate with others to implement sustainable best practices and programs to advance quality organic search traffic
  • Paid Search - Develop, manage and optimize paid search through a test and learn approach to drive enrollment for digital and in-person learning
  • Email Marketing - Lead email list growth and segmentation, execute effective email campaigns (primarily automated, trigger based) to communicate to customer base and drive growth
  • New Channel Development - Identify new channel opportunities for testing

Analytics

  • Lead marketing analytics and reporting, working with our IT partners to consolidate data sources, provide relevant data visualization, reporting and insight
  • Experience leading recurring marketing reporting and related communications (email delivery, meeting presentations, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strategic thinking ability, coupled with marketing strategy and plan development experience
  • Experience with Product and Channel Marketing, including email and search
  • Hands on Product Marketing experience, ideally in an in-house marketing role
  • Hands on Channel Management experience, either agency or via an in-house marketing role
  • Track record of building effective and efficient marketing channels
  • Commitment to a test and learn approach, driven by data and insight
  • Communication acumen, including presentation of marketing plans and results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, paired with an ability to address technical concepts with elegance and simplicity
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules
  • Google Ads experience is a must
  • Google Analytics acumen is essential
  • Email service provider experience is necessary (we currently use Pardot)
  • Microsoft tooling experience is helpful, particularly Power BI
  • Experience in a global, remote work environment, ideally in the learning & development space is a plus
  • MS Office Suite proficiency, including PowerPoint and Excel

Education, Experience, and Certification

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or public relations

Experience

  • 5+ years of Marketing experience, ideally comprising both B2B and B2C
  • Experience with Product Marketing responsibilities
  • Hands on experience managing SEO, Paid Search and Email
  • A track record of demonstrable Marketing impact

  • Company required (e.g. FCPA / Anti-Harassment etc)
