In Office Safety, you will learn guidelines for working safely and ergonomically to prevent hazards and injuries. You will also learn how to properly organize a computer workstation.

Operators, technicians, and other professionals who require knowledge to operate and maintain facilities safely and effectively.You Will Learn
Participants will learn how to:
- Describe the types of injuries that occur in an office.
- Describe what you can do to ensure a safe office working environment.
- Describe the safe work practices which help to ensure office safety.
- Define ergonomics and provide examples of ergonomics-related injuries.
- Define cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including the injuries they cause.
- Describe stress factors associated with the upper extremities.
- Describe stress factors associated with the lower back.
- Describe how to properly organize and assess a computer workstation to ensure it is ergonomically correct.
- Define neutrality in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and lower back.
- Identify the proper support for the lower back, the seat, forearm, hands, and feet.
