In this program, you will learn about office ergonomics in the workplace. You will learn what ergonomics is and how to prevent ergonomics-related injuries when performing office work.
Target Audience
Operators, technicians, and other professionals who require knowledge to operate and maintain facilities safely and effectively.You Will Learn
Participants will learn how to:
- Define ergonomics and provide examples of ergonomics-related injuries.
- Define cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including the injuries they cause.
- Describe stress factors associated with the upper extremities.
- Describe stress factors associated with the lower back.
- Describe how to properly organize and assess a computer workstation to ensure it is ergonomically correct.
- Define neutrality in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and lower back.
- Identify the proper support for the lower back, the seat, forearm, hands, and feet.
