About the eLearning Course
Industrial Ergonomics helps you meet the training requirements required by the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and specified by HSE's Ergonomics and Human Factors at Work. You will learn what ergonomics is, how to prevent ergonomics-related injuries, hand tool ergonomics and material handling ergonomics.

Operators, technicians, and other professionals who require knowledge to operate and maintain facilities safely and effectively.You Will Learn
Participants will learn how to:
- Define ergonomics and provide examples of ergonomics-related injuries.
- Define cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including the injuries they cause.
- Describe stress factors associated with the upper extremities.
- Describe stress factors associated with the lower back.
- Describe the anatomy of the human hand.
- Identify the proper tool for each job.
- Apply your knowledge of ergonomics to organize your hand tool workspace.
- Describe how to properly lift and carry a load.
- Describe how to safely push and pull a load.
- Describe the ergonomic issues related to driving.
- Describe mechanical aids.
