About the eLearning Course
Hot Work is designed to help you meet the training requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.252. It covers information mandated by the standard including how to prepare a workspace for hot work and how to conduct firewatches to prevent incidences of fire or explosion.

Operators, technicians, and other professionals who require knowledge to operate and maintain facilities safely and effectively.You Will Learn
Participants will learn how to:
- Define hot work and hot tapping.
- Describe the hazards of hot work and the strategies for controlling hazards.
- Identify key steps in preparing a site for hot work, including proper personal protective equipment.
- Outline the hazards associated with atmospheric storage tanks and pressure vessels.
- List the responsibilities of an Authorized Permit Writer and the information needed on a hot work permit.
