Couplings, Gear Trains, and V-Belts: Gear Trains and V-Belt Drives

e-Learning

About the eLearning Course

This course covers gear and V-belt drives, the physical principles of power transmission, and the relationship of speed and torque as different forms of power. Topics also include simple and compound gear trains, and how gear trains may be used as speed changers or torque increasers.  We will delve into construction and applications for single and multiple V-belt drives, using V-belt drives as speed changers, adjusting and replacing V-belts, and controlling slippage.

Target Audience

Operations personnel who require a fundamental understanding of knowledge to operate and maintain facilities. Also suitable for maintenance and technician personnel whether new to their roles or seasoned experts looking to enhance their skills.
