Volatile PVT: Diving into Gas Condensate anD Volatile Oil

Presented by Deborah Ryan

2 February 2021, 10:00 am CDT (GMT - 6:00)

This webinar is designed for anyone who is involved in subsurface and production that wants to understand the challenges associated with volatile fluid characterization, both gas condensates and volatile oils.

Volatile reservoir fluids (gas condensates and volatile oils) present additional challenges in the calculation of original fluids in place and the prediction of future performance and ultimate recovery. This seminar will highlight the differences between volatile fluids and conventional gas and black oil systems, the correlations available to predict volatile fluid performance and the laboratory tests that are crucial to proper reservoir fluid characterization.

WEBINAR OBJECTIVES

 >>   Provide participants with the knowledge of different reservoir fluids and how these fluids behave with different temperature and pressure
 >>   Provide participants with the knowledge of volatile fluid correlations
 >>   Provide participants with information about lab tests that are done on volatile fluids

What will attendees learn?

 >>   The challenges with gas condensate and volatile fluid characterization

 >>   Attendees will learn how black oil correlations are used to characterize the reservoir fluid and how the fluid behaves with changing pressure and temperature in the reservoir and at the surface

 >>   Attendees will learn some of the challenges in applying black oil correlations for volatile fluids

 >>   Attendees will learn about key laboratory tests that are done to characterise volatile fluids, and how that compares to black oil

Who Should Attend?

This webinar is critical for anyone who is involved in subsurface characterization and production optimisation, does volumetric calculations or production forecasting. Reservoir Engineers, Production Engineers, Facilities Engineers, Geologists, Reserves Engineers, Data Analysts and Reservoir and Geology Technicians will all benefit from this webinar.
