Process Simulator Sales & Service Engineer

The Sales & Service Engineer will be part of a team that is maintaining a library of process simulators as well as developing curriculum to support the simulator library. Specifically, the Sales & Service Engineer will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and maintaining simulator training for an educational client base made up of chemical engineering departments as well as process technology departments. On occasion, the position will include supporting the development of new process simulators. An ideal fit for this position is someone that has a passion for learning new topics and is able to effectively convey this learned knowledge to others.


  • - Develop eLearning training curriculum to be paired with various generic process simulators for undergraduate students in the chemical engineering or process technology disciplines.
    - Maintain process simulator library and collaborate with simulator experts to improve these generic simulators. Current library includes simulators of fundamental equipment such as boilers, pumps, and exchangers as well as specific refining technologies such as crude distillation, catalytic cracking, and delayed coking.
    - Provide customer support for current user base as well as support marketing efforts to grow the user base.
    - Ability to travel 25%


  • - Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent in related field required
    - 0-3 years of experience in chemical processing environment preferred
    - 0-3 years of experience in a training or support role preferred
    - Proficient with C++ or programming language equivalent (for troubleshooting existing code, not creation of novel code) preferred
